Stairs - questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about spiral and floating staircases.

If you are about to design and order a new staircase, but have doubts about dimensions, building codes, construction details, staircase prices, etc., here is a useful guide to avoid mistakes and choose the perfect staircase for your space.

Is a spiral staircase more expensive than a traditional staircase?

In some cases yes, in others no. We offer a variety of designs and sizes for both spiral and traditional stairs. The price depends on the width of the stairs, the height and the materials used, not the shape or design.

Are spiral stairs more dangerous than traditional stairs?

If spiral stairs are small in diameter, they can be uncomfortable to use and therefore more dangerous. They also tend to be steeper than traditional stairs. If the diameter of a spiral staircase is large (for example, 2,500 mm or more) they may even be safer than traditional stairs.

Can I install a spiral staircase myself or do I need a professional installer?

Installing a spiral staircase is complicated, requiring the right skills and time. It is much simpler to order a spiral staircase made to measure, which will be perfectly integrated into the existing space. All of our stairs are fully prefabricated in our workshop and are delivered to the site ready for installation. We offer professional installation, which is a guarantee of safety and high quality.
